Man Over Board

Sometimes there are storms in your life because you have a "Jonah" onboard with you...

Let me explain. God told Jonah to do a specific thing:

Jonah 1:2 (NKJV)

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.”
Now Jonah, instead of doing that, went the complete opposite way and disobeyed God. He jumped on board a ship that was heading the exact opposite direction of Nineveh. While on board God brought a storm that brought fear and chaos unto the entire ship... Now, let's look at this story through the eyes of the people on this ship. They were doing their job, heading the direction that they needed to go. Everything would have gone exactly as planned but because this one person decided to disobey God these people had to suffer through the consequences of one man's disobedience. They were going through an unwanted storm all because of having a person on board that was disobeying God.

I now ask you, do you have someone on board in your life (your vision, your dreams, your destiny, your calling) that is not supposed to be there? Someone who might be jumping on board because they're avoiding God's calling upon their life? Someone who is deliberately disobeying God? If so, their consequences of disobedience may definitely bring discomfort and storms upon your life that are not supposed to be there. I urge you to take account for the people in your life. Make sure they are God sent and in line with where God is leading you and obeying God's calling upon their own life.

With that said, not all storms are other people's fault. So, this decision must be done with a prayerful heart and lead by the Spirit of God. If God does in fact reveal to you that someone is on board with you that shouldn't be then don't hesitate to make the change. Be wise and prudent but don't ignore it and cause more pain and damage.

Be encouraged,

Karol

God in the Details

God is in the details
Preparing the way
Showing me His love in the sweetest of ways
Only spotted with a tender heart...
A surrendered heart

His love brings me to my knees
His love fills me with peace
Gives me strength to succeed
Even in the details He is there

Have you spotted it?
Have you noticed Him there?
He's showing you His love
Are you listening?
Are you watching?
Are you ready?

He's here.
Listen.
Be still.
Wait...

His love is much deeper than the ocean
Yet tender like a newborn baby
He shows up and there's no escaping His embrace

Have you made space to receive His grace?
Have you invited the greatest Gentlemen in?
Have you welcomed Him in to your world?

Think back on your day and you'll see...

Search...
Wait.
Do you see?
Do you see Him there?

In the details
He's there.
